Mario said good-bye to his friends at school and started heading for home. He was in a great mood. He had six weeks off from school for winter break, he had just been promoted to Level 7. Things couldn’t be better. He turned his iPod up and smiled. As he passed the last row of stores before the hill leading to his house something caught his eye at the bank. Something was sticking out of the ATM machine. As he got closer, he saw it was cash.
Mario looked around. There was nobody. No cars, nobody walking nearby. Someone must have just used the machine and then forgotten to take the money. Whoever had used the ATM machine was gone now. He walked over to the machine and took the money out: $60. There was also a receipt sticking out.
Mario looked around again. Still no one. He could turn the money in at the bank tomorrow—it was closed now anyway. But, really, it was 60 bucks! Probably not much to the customer, but it would make a difference as to how many Christmas gifts he could get for his family.. or new music for his iPod.
Does it really count if you only do something like this once? Mario thought this over. It’s not like he’s a thief or anything. Someone messed up by leaving the cash there in the first place. He felt pretty good about taking it. It’s a one-time deal…. and no one ever needs to know. He put the money in his pocket, crumpled up the receipt, and walked away.
As the next song started playing, Mario remembered something his grandfather always said, “Every time you lie, you get closer to being a liar.” But this wasn’t the same thing. Was it? He turned up the volume and headed up the hill to home.

Arturo's Review

1. Title: I Don’t Wanna Miss a thing
2. Rock band called: Aerosmith
3. What is the genre (theme): Romance
4. What is the type of music: Soft rock and this song was the best in 1998.
5. What is about it: This song I was listening to with my old brother and this song is about love and romance. I remember this band was really famous.
6. This song tells about treasuring every moment spent with another person. This song tells about the feeling in one’s heart.
7. I recommend this song because it has easy words, that we can understand when you see on the lyrics you tube. I also recommend this rock band because they have different songs, like romantic and crazy.

Yasmin C.'s Entertainment Review

1. - Song Title: Eternal Love
Love Eternal
You are the sadness in my eyes That weep in silence for you love
I look at myself in the mirror and see my face, The time I've suffered because of your goodbye,
I force my thought to forget you, Because I'm always thinking of yesterday, I’d rather be sleeping than awake, Because of how much it hurts that you are not here How I wish, ay*, that you lived
That your little eyes never had closed And to be looking at them Love eternal and unforgettable
Sooner or later I will be with you To continue loving each other have suffered so much due to your absence Since that day up to today, I'm not happy And even though tranquil is my conscience
I know that I could have done more for you Dark solitude I am living, The same solitude of your grave
You are the love of which I have The saddest memory in Acapulco How I wish, ay*, that you lived That your little eyes never had closed And to be looking at them Love eternal and unforgettable
Sooner or later I will be with you To continue loving each other*ay: spontaneous exclamation that indicates hurt or pain

2. – Author ( Juan Gabriel)
3.- Genre: this song is a ballad
4.- The theme of this song is love; some people consider loving a mother.
5.- I love this song because always remember my mother, because she died a long time ago and for me, she is my love eternal, and I always miss her so much.
6.- I recommend if you have mother, love her, love her everyday because I know she is very important in life; unfortunately we realize that when we no longer have her, but is it never too late.

Adela's Hometown

Where I Grew up
Choix, Sinaloa is the small city where I grew up, and it is located in North West Mexico. In my neighborhood, there were a river, mountains, and many people talking out side of their homes, and you could smell fresh soil. My hometown made feel happy because I was with all my family, but sad because, I came here for a better life. It has been four years since I lived in my hometown, but I visit often. I have noticed many changes for example, now there are many people, many restaurants, and a movie theater. When I visit my city where I grew up, I feel happy because now it is more beautiful and bigger and because my family can live better and they are safe.

Pancho's Hometown

Remembering the Place Where I Grew Up
Ensenada was the small place where I grew up in Mexico. In my yard there were many different things like toys and cars everywhere. The only thing that was rough was that the streets were made just of sand. There were lots of snakes, lizards, and many weird things on the ground that were very poisonous. In the fall lots of families were outside celebrating Halloween and Thanksgiving. In December it’s very cold but lots of people get out and celebrate a holiday for the Virgin Mary, who is very important to all Mexicans. My hometown was so free that you could do whatever you wanted and you would not get in trouble with anyone. You could go to parties, clubs, or just hang out outside. The only thing was that you had to be very careful because there were many people that were bad and would hurt you. That was why you always had to be safe in whatever you did. I haven’t gotten to visit in a long while, but I think it looks better than what it used to look like. At least I have half my family here with me and they care about me a lot.

Santiago's Hometown

About MY Hometown
Nochixtlan, Oaxaca, Mexico is my hometown, and it is located in South East Mexico. It is a small town but the people are very generous. Also in my hometown there was a river, trees, some mountains and a lot of houses. All the streets were always very quiet. I grew up in my town all my childhood and I used to played soccer, marbles, basketball and other games with my friends. I ‘m proud to be born in this hometown and sometimes I feel sad because I have many years that I haven’t been able to go to my hometown. I came to this country five years ago to look for a better life for my family and I’m happy in this country because here are more opportunities than in my country and I like to live in this place because I have a great family and I can give them a better life.

Miguel's Hometown

The Place Where I Group
I was born in the city of Mexicali, Mexico. I group in the valley of Mexicali on a small ranch where I live for eight years. There I went to elementary school for my first six years there I lived with my parents, brother, and sister. When my father lived there we animal cows, pigs, goats, hens, ducks, and one doodad a cat. My neighbors had a ranch with animal too. Every body knew every one and we at played to gather the same school. When all grew up and got older. Everybody went their different way. Some stead on the ranch and theirs went to different places. I decided to emigrate to San Diego .for more opportunities. Sometimes when I think about my hometown, I feel a little sad because I miss the life I had there where I knew many people and places.

Jose's Hometown

My Hometown
My city where I grew up is Penjamo, Guanajuato, Mexico, a small city located in the center of Mexico. I lived in my city for 18 years before I came to the United States .When I go to my city, I’m happy because my family was happy there, but I couldn’t stay in my city because it was difficult to get good job. It has been ten years since I visited my city. In 2000 I saw a lot of changes, like a lot of cars, a lot of houses, more people, night clubs and more small businesses. I feel nostalgic thinking about my hometown because I miss my family.

Honorina's Hometown

Remembering the Place Where I Grew Up
Ocotlan city is the small sized town where I grew up and it is located in the southeast of Oaxaca, Mexico. When I lived there, I saw people sweeping every Sunday and the women making tortillas by hand. There were the mayor’s houses. Nature was grass, apple trees, and orange trees. There were peanuts everywhere and a water park in my hometown. I could smell orange flowers and fresh bread. I heard dogs barking, birds singing, and roosters crowing every morning. Two years ago I visited there for Christmas vacation. Now it is very different. There are more cars, more houses, and more construction. My hometown made me feel happy because all my family was there and I could speak my own language, but it was difficult to get a good job. Now I feel excited and sometimes nervous when I think about my hometown. I miss my friends, parents, and family who are there.

Arturo's Hometown

My Hometown
Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico, is located in south central of Mexico, and is a medium size town where I grew up. In my city we grow many different trees like guava trees, mango trees, some fields with corns, watermelon, and cucumber. The street is noisy with many sounds of birds singing, buses and cars passing by the main street. Sometimes it smells like fresh flowers combined with wet soil, and sometimes like smog. My hometown made me feel happy because I grew up with many friends. Also, I feel safe because I knew all my neighbors and we always helped each other. It has been eleven years, since I came here. I have noticed some changes, for example, now there is more traffic and big freeways like here. I imagine they build more business buildings and hotels. When I think about the place where I grew up, I feel bitter sweet because I like my home town and I like this town too. I also feel sad because my old friends live there, and I feel exited because my parents are living here.

Alfredo C.'s Hometown

Remembering the place where I grew UP
Mexico City is the big city where I grew up and it is located in South center in Mexico In my neighborhood Nezahualtcoyotl, there was to many busses and people walking and talking in the streets there were sounds of barking dogs and traffic you could smell smog. My hometown made me feel sad because now it is dangerous. We have too many problems but I was happy because my brother and sister were in Mexico. It has been 17 years since I lived in my hometown. I think that my hometown has changed a lot for examples there are probably too many dangerous for example, there are drug dealers and gun fights. People now when I think about the place where I grew up, I feel nostalgia because I miss my sister and brother, who still live there.

Brigida's Friend

My Best Friend
My best friend Gertrudis and I met while working at Callaway Golf Company four years ago. One day during our lunch break, she asked if she could sit next to me, and we quickly realized we were from the same hometown. We have many things in common, like religion and friends. My friend and I used to like to eat together. We are both always busy, but somehow we always find time to spend with each other. She has brown eyes and curly black hair, and she is also short like me. She is always happy and always smiling. Gertrudis is a friend who is trustworthy and caring. I consider Gertrudis my good friend because to me a friend is someone who can always put a smile on my face, no matter what the situations is, and that is something Gertrudis always does for me.

Karla's Friend

My Dear Old Friend

My old friend is Sayuri, and we first met in Kindergarten when we were five years old my friend and I used to play violin together. Sayuri is short, beautiful and skinny. She is smart, very friendly and honest she usually wears casual dress and sandals. Sayuri is a friend who always gives me good advice when I'm sad or I have any problem. I consider Sayuri my dear old friend because she is a great person and she is always with me in the good and bad times.

Alberto's Friend

My Best Friend Alfredo
My good friend Alfredo and I grew up together, but we haven't seen each other for almost nine years. We both attended kinder garden, preschool, and middle school together. My friend and I used to like to go camping, have dinner, go out to bars, and watch movies. He has small brown eyes, short black hair, and a friendly smile Alfredo is short and chubby but in good shape. He always wears a cap and gym clothes. My friend is honest, polite, and loyal. However, he has a short fuse. He always tells me the truth and me too. On the other hand, Alfredo is not a very talkative person, and when he calls me he usually chats for a little bit. I consider Alfredo my best friend because for me a friend is someone who cares about you and never lets go of your friendship no matter how far the distance between you or how infrequent your visits.
