Zeferino's Hometown

My Hometown
Guerrero, Mexico is the small city where I grew up, and it is located southwest of Mexico City. In my neighborhood there were a lot of cows, pigs, horses, donkeys, dogs, and sheep. I heard a lot of sounds of domestic animals and some cars passing every once in a while. During the summer many people slept outside of their homes and they could smell fresh grass, mangos, guavas, and trees. Also, many people could see in the sky the stars at nighttime. I was happy in my hometown because I felt more secure and happy with all my family, but it was difficult to get a good job. Also, there was not a lot of traffic or noises like in a big city. I lived in my hometown for 31 years. In my hometown I worked in agriculture, but now I’m living in Oceanside, California, and I usually visit my hometown every year for Christmas on vacation. Now my hometown has changed a lot. There are more people and more traffic. More people have moved from their ranches to the city. Also, there are more places to visit such as parks, restaurants, churches, and supermarkets for shopping. I feel happy when I visit my hometown where I grew up. In conclusion, my hometown is beautiful and the people are friendly and honest.
